Communitas
Communitas is more than community or friendship - it's the deep sense of belonging experienced when people grow and live with a purpose, together. We exist to cultivate deep, disciple-making relationships that journey together in pursuit of the mission of God. This is modeled in our:
- Authenticity—we strive to be transparent, honest, and loving in our relationships.
- Others—Centered Culture - we foster a mentality that honors people and considers others first.
- Culture of Grace—we are not afraid of people's sin, including our own; we do our best to navigate conflict well, and we strive to encourage one another constantly.
Mission
Mission is deeper than a statement on a page. It's a deep-seated purpose that drives how we live. Ours is about identifying and equipping the Sent Ones of Christ to foster Kingdom expressions in the places we live, work, learn, and play. We do that through:
- Partnership—we partner with other churches, Young Life, organizations throughout the Valley, and globally for the sake of the Kingdom.
- Redemptive Relationships—we believe the mission field is all around us. We intentionally invest in relationships with those inside and outside the church, loving all people like Christ.
- Radical Generosity—we try to have a culture that reflects God’s heart, both individually and as a church, living to give away our lives and our resources.
Worship
Worship is more than just where we go on Sunday mornings. It's about creating spaces for communing with God to celebrate and reorient around Jesus as Lord. When we do that, we strive for:
- Relevant Worship—we strive for excellent music, applicable teaching, and practicing the sacraments together regularly (communion and baptism).
- Transformative Discipleship — we are all on a journey to become more fully who God created us to be.
- Prayer—this must be our primary effort and the backbone of everything we do.
