Reflection 1

1 Peter 4:1-2

:  Peter offers us a call to action to be on the offensive. How can we “arm ourselves” as he mentions in verse 1?

:  We arm ourselves, not to avoid sin, but to live FOR God’s will. How do you experience living for God’s will in your own life?

: What have you done recently that has impacted those around you?

Reflection 2

1 Peter 4:3-6

:  Have you experienced the surprise or even distain of non-Christians when you do things a little differently than they do? If so, how do you handle those situations in a way that reflects Jesus?

: Have there been instances when your life hasn’t set you apart from nonbelievers or when you stay quiet and just go with the crowd? If so, why do you think this is the case?

Reflection 3

1 Peter 3:7-11

:  In this section God calls us to pray for, love, and serve others. How could you live out each of these more fully for God’s will. Be specific. Which of those three actions are the most difficult for you?

: What gifts do you have that allow you to serve others in your own unique way?

: How would your speech change if you were living out verse 11? How would the way you serve change?

: What would the world be like if our intention in every action was to glorify God?
